Pink on Pink

Pink on pink is such a statement combination, but I absolutely love it. It's tough to wear the same color on top of one another, but if you can match a top and bottom perfectly, than you can really create a unique and stand out look. I found these perfect bow shorts on J. Crew Factory's website for a fraction of their regular price so I quickly scooped them up. When I went to style them with a top from my closet, I instantly wanted to stray from a white top. White sometimes is such a basic choice and I wanted something that would make the shorts stand out even more. This pink and blue top from J. Crew is just the answer to that thought. The top itself is really simple, with it being a 3/4 le

Affordable Fourth of July Finds

We're just one week away from my favorite holiday of the year! I love everything about the Fourth of July. From the fireworks, to cooking out, and going to the pool, everything about the fourth is just the best. Not to mention my birthday is the following day, so it's all just one big party. Another thing I love about the fourth is that everyone dresses in red, white, and blue -- my all time favorite color palette. I can finally put all the navy in my closet to good use. Even though I am fully prepped and ready to pull out my navy and white wardrobe, you might not feel as prepared. I took to my favorite stores and online boutiques to round up my favorite RW&B clothes for you! There is still

Weekly Skinny: June 26th

It's been a crazy week and it's only Tuesday. Sunday was a day of running around and getting errands done and then visiting both sets of grandparents in the late afternoon and evening. I spent yesterday working, waitressing, and setting up my new technology. I added an iMac desktop computer to my Apple collection. I ended up purchasing the 1000 GB iMac yesterday morning after six weeks of saving. I'm so thrilled with my purchase! This is my very first "big girl" purchase. It was a lot of money to spend at once and I kind of forgot the feeling of being just about completely broke, so I'm not to thrilled about that. The software that Apple offers is unbeatable though so I bit the bullet and ha

Here's What's Been Going On...

Okay so you haven't seen consistent blog posts in about a month and I owe you an explanation. Before I get too far into this post, I want to make sure I don't blur any lines. Blog posts aren't going anywhere. I'm not going anywhere. I'm okay -- great in fact. I just feel like I haven't been this inconsistent with blogging in almost a year now and I owe it to you, my loyal reader, to tell you why. So, I haven't posted consistent blog posts in weeks now. Let me break things down. First, I started off the month with a twelve day vacation to Virginia Beach and in truth I just wanted to take that time to relax. I know, relax...on vacation?! What was I thinking?! Just kidding...kind of. I feel lik

Affordable Navy Dresses

It's summertime so take that little black dress you wear during fall and winter and trade it out for your favorite little navy dress. Navy is my favorite color, and also a neutral in my opinion, and every fashionable girl needs at least one go-to navy dress on hand. I love mine for church, dinners with the family, interviews, and dressier days at work. You can pull out your navy dress in March and keep styling it all the way through September if the weather's still warm where you live. Truly you can't go wrong with navy! Today I searched my favorite stores for their best navy dresses and I found a few dozen dresses that would be perfect in any girl's spring and summer wardrobe. You can shop

How to Shop J.Crew Like a Pro

I'll flat out say it. I absolutely cannot afford J. Crew unless I'm shopping their sale, and even then I sometimes still can't afford J. Crew. I know I'm not the only girl out there who's tight on money and purchases her own clothing. As you already know, I love keeping my closet current and updated with trends but sometimes, it's difficult to shop J. Crew's best without spending my entire paycheck. Almost every blog post I write has something from J. Crew linked in it because you can truly find everything you need in your wardrobe there. Like I said, I love shopping the brand, but I just can't drop full price dollars on a single item of clothing. One of the reasons I love writing Daily Dose

Summer So Far in Snapshots

I'm feeling refreshed and new after returning back from my 10 day long vacation in Virginia Beach. May was a whirlwind of working, blogging, brainstorming, editing, and getting back into a summer routine. Needless to say, a vacation was much needed after 50 hour weeks. With May 2018 in the books and half go June already gone, I can't believe I'm saying this, but my summer is more than a third of the way over. Here are a few things I've been loving so far this summer: Shows: Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Cloak & Dagger, The Bold Type, The Goldbergs, Rise Movies: Breakfast at Tiffany's, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days Food: Apricot La Croix, Zoe's Kitchen Rice Pilaf (on repeat!), mixed berries for b

June 30 Under $30

I'm back with another 30 Under $30 post. I know how much you gals love shopping and when you can do it on a budget, it's even better! Right now I'm working hard on not spending any money but I have to tell you, when I online shop for these posts, I have a really tough time not walking away from sites with three or four new purchases. I particularly love this month's 30 Under $30 because it has a great mix of stores, styles, and accessories. You can create great outfits from both classic and trendy pieces in today's post and leave with a unique and versatile wardrobe. Today's post is a little different than those before it. Instead of one photo and then links, you can now shop the clothing di

All White Everything

With Memorial Day behind us, it's finally the appropriate time to pull out your summer whites. I somewhat stick to the white-after-Memorial-Day rule, but if Coco Chanel can pull out her whites before Memorial Day than I think it's the okay for the rest of the fashion world to do that same. This outfit is far and above my absolute favorite outfit for the summertime. Monochromatic ensembles are so chic, and white on white makes literally any person look incredible -- especially in the summertime when we're all tan and happy! These linen pom pom pants are from J. Crew Factory and were a total impulse buy two weeks ago. I saw them on someone's Instagram Story and instantly knew I needed them. Th

Monthly Must Haves: June

Another month, another list of goodies to add to my wish list. I purused Nordstrom, Anthropologie, H&M, Forever 21 and all of my other favorite stores the past few days and found eight things that I absolutely cannot get over! From the cutest sneakers to the most perfect beachcomber and bodysuit, there comes a point where I just need to keep it a wishlist. With June arriving, and summer officially here there are way more dresses on my wishlist. These mid-length airy dresses that I see all over Nordstrom and Anthropologie are at the top of my list. I love how delicate and classic they are, especially in a clean white linen. I am also loving the navy and white Tretorn sneakers. I need a new wh

White Culottes for Summer

My favorite summer staple is a good pair of white jeans. I found these great denim culottes at H&M a few months ago and it was great to see that they still had them in stock last week. These pants, although modern, are a fun twist on classic white jeans. What's even better is that these pants are extremely affordable! I've seen them all over Pinterest and Instagram and I'm so excited to share them with y'all again today! I styled these wide leg culottes with my favorite bodysuit from J. Crew. I know I link J. Crew all the time, but you can find this bodysuit anywhere--I just found this one on super-sale back in January! I love how fun this off the shoulder ruffle suit is, but how casual the

Beach Vacation Packing List

I'm writing to y'all from my comfortable spot in my families beach house, sipping on a White Claw. Needless to say, I'm perfectly content. I've been counting down to this vacation since before finals week back in April and I'm soaking in every ray of sunshine I can. My family vacations go something like this...wake up late, head down to the beach until 5pm, shower, eat, watch a movie or play cards. We take the time to enjoy the simplicity of the beach and the company around us, so my wardrobe tends to match that vibe. Almost everyday, I'm in shorts, an oversized tee, and a pair of sandals. I love being casual on vacation! I did however, pack dressier outfits for photoshoots on the beach and

8 Favorites from My Swimsuit Collection

I know it's only June 1st and some of you aren't even out of school yet, but if you're shopping for swimwear for this summer I hate to say it, but you're behind. It's wild to me that the best time to shop for swimwear is early March, but we work with what the stores give us🤦🏼‍♀️. I love swimwear, especially a good one piece. I have eight swimsuits in my collection that I absolutely adore and they span a lot of different suit styles. Every single suit I share today was purchased on sale or with an employee discount. I know swimwear is easy to pile up in your cart, but you only wear them a handful of months out of the year so don't go spending a ton of money on swimsuits. First, let's break
