On a Safari
Summer style is much more interesting to me than winter style. I love the vibrant colors, the fun trims, and the fact that I don't have to cover up with a coat. I love wearing a pair of "statement shorts" and a cute top with a casual shoe all throughout the warmer months. It's pretty much my summer uniform and today's look is no different. I found these safari shorts back in March and knew I had to have them! I love the sherbet colors mixed with natural greens so make for a s

The Mock Neck Top You Need
Last weekend my neighbor texted me as the sun was setting if I wanted to take advantage of golden hour that evening. I am never one to turn down a photo opportunity, so of course I threw myself together and headed off with her to snap a few pics. With the sun setting in 40 minutes, we didn't have time to scout a location or travel a far distance, so we ended up venturing into downtown Harrisonburg to find a few brick walls or store fronts that would make for a good backdrop.

The Easiest Neutral Look
Dressing up and going out with friends doesn't have to be complicated. Even I overthink what to wear to dinner with my girlfriends or out to a party, but I feel like I'm exhausting myself in the mean time. I love a simple outfit that I feel confident in and right now it's styling a neutral sweater with my denim skirt. This denim skirt is from H&M and only cost $25. I did a little extra distressing on them, but I love this high waisted skirt. It looks great styled with tights

February Wishlist
Goodbye January and yellow February. February is one of my favorite months because it's the last few weeks of winter, but I can appropriately shop for pre-spring clothing. I am already making Pinterest boards full of pastels and baby animals. With February comes a ridiculously busy schedule, something I'm not looking forward to, but with busy days come the potential for incredible reward. Today I'm sharing my February wishlist which shares not only Ugg boots but a swimsuit th

Forget the Rules
Forget what you've heard, you can wear white jeans past Labor Day. I know it seems like traditional fashion exiles those who style white post Labor Day but modern fashion appreciates, accepts and sometimes even encourages it. After all, we love a good winter white outfits and apparently, so does Vogue. Styling a summery white outfit after the first week of September can seem a little daunting after classic styles told us time and time again that it was a big no-no, but when d

Weekly Skinny: October 10th
It's 60 degrees and sunny from here. The beginning of the week was so ridiculously hot. I gave tours and was seriously sweating through my tour polo on Monday afternoon. From here on out though, it's looking like Mother Nature has decided Virginia would be receiving crisp 60-degree weather for the next several days. I can't wait to pull out my favorite pair of J. Crew toothpick jeans and heathered mock turtleneck to wear on Friday. What I'm Eating: I haven't tried out any new

Fashion Forward with Forever 21
When I went home this past weekend I stopped by Forever 21. JMU only has a Target and an H&M so I never really get the opportunity to go shopping at Forever 21 throughout the school year. I must say though, their newest fall collection is so adorable and chalk full of plaids, knits, and blazers. The thing I love about Forever 21 is how trendy, yet affordable everything is. I know they sell fashion forward pieces but they're worth investing in because at the end of the day, it

Fall Wardrobe Starter Pack
I ran a poll on Instagram yesterday asking if I would make you mad if I started posting about Fall on the blog or if you were ready for changing leaves and cashmere sweaters. Over 75% of Instagram followers said they were ready for Fall, so here we are! If you were in the minority and were still loving summer, sorry this post might not be for you. Bookmark it though for when you're feeling Fallish --it'll come in handy then. These past few months I have really been enhancing

It's a Formal Affair
April is officially formal season, my apologies in advance if I missed your formal by a weekend! I know all different clubs, organizations, and Greek chapters are planning their formals so that means it's time to go dress shopping. I'm currently trying to fit three on my calendar (I don't think it'll work out!). Being on campus, there aren't too many great formal dress shopping locations around, so most of us end up shopping online. Dress shopping online can be such a tough t
