Beach Vacation Packing List
I'm writing to y'all from my comfortable spot in my families beach house, sipping on a White Claw. Needless to say, I'm perfectly content. I've been counting down to this vacation since before finals week back in April and I'm soaking in every ray of sunshine I can. My family vacations go something like this...wake up late, head down to the beach until 5pm, shower, eat, watch a movie or play cards. We take the time to enjoy the simplicity of the beach and the company around u

Weekly Skinny April 18th
Two weeks y'all! Two weeks until summer. In fourteen days, I'll be unpacking my apartment in my house back at home, and getting back to working summer jobs. I still can't believe my sophomore year is almost over. I'm halfway through college -- crazy. Summer is so close, but there are so many things standing between me and my vacation. Between Greek Sing, three finals, a 20 page paper, a comic book presentation, and a career blog presentation, I'll be plenty busy from now unti

Classic Prep in Plaid
As my style is maturing, there's one thing that will always stay the same and that's my love for classic silhouettes and styles. Bows to me will never go out of style and neither will a classic black and white sweater. It took me a year, but I finally got my hands on the Gayle Bow Sweater from J.Crew. What I've Learned from Blogging: General Lessons
I've been writing Daily Dose of Prep for about two and a half years now and I have to say, it was the greatest thing I have ever done. I mean, I'm only 19 -- something is sure to top it but for now, the best thing I have ever done was create DDoP. It was no easy task, I'll say that. Not only did I have to work up the self confidence just to put myself out there, but I also had to teach myself everything. I had nobody to turn to or ask for help. It was all me. What I have goin

J.Crew & Jack Rogers
This summer I have been trying to stock my closet with items that I can wear into late September and this fun bow shoulder sweater is one of those gorgeous pieces. This fun tank is from J.Crew and is such a playful and modern classic piece to keep in your closet. I am normally not one to purchase full price J.Crew either but I really couldn't pass this navy top up! It looks great styled with these J.Crew white ruffle shorts (on sale!) but would look great later in fall with j

Garnett's on Park Avenue
I got a little lost the other day when exploring downtown Richmond and I stumbled upon this cute little cafe called Garnett's off of Monument Avenue and Park. Actually, my friend, Gillian, was the one that spotting it originally. It's the cutest little cafe with little snacks and easy meals. What I love about it is the decor. The cafe has the most adorable awnings as well as lush potted plants both inside and outside of the restaurant. For my outfit, I am wearing my favorite
