Beach Vacation Packing List
I'm writing to y'all from my comfortable spot in my families beach house, sipping on a White Claw. Needless to say, I'm perfectly content. I've been counting down to this vacation since before finals week back in April and I'm soaking in every ray of sunshine I can. My family vacations go something like this...wake up late, head down to the beach until 5pm, shower, eat, watch a movie or play cards. We take the time to enjoy the simplicity of the beach and the company around u

Monthly Must Haves: May
Can you believe it's already May?! I feel like I was writing Christmas and holiday posts just a few days ago, but in reality it was almost six months ago. WOW. I recently returned home for summer vacation and took a few days off to settle in and truthfully relax. I feel like I've been going and going for the past four months and taking a few days off to organize my life, catch up on personal things, and sit by the lake and read my book is exactly what I needed. It's kind of

O Christmas Tree
I went exploring the local Christmas tree farm this past weekend with my friend Erin and it was so magical, I just have to share it with you! Every Soul Acres is located in Keezletown, VA and is the total experience when it comes to picking your Christmas tree. You pick it, cut it, and take it home. You can purchase hand made wreathes and sip on homemade hot chocolate while shopping for your perfect tree. It was a great way to spend an hour or so on Monday. With the snow clin

Weekly Skinny: November 16
This week has been endless, I swear. There are only two days until Thanksgiving break and I can assure you, I'm counting down the hours. I have really enjoyed this semester so far but a little time at home is much needed. I'm so looking forward to being with my family again, especially seeing my oldest sister, Leslie. All the Smith sisters haven't been together since July and it was for four hours. Other than that, I think the last time we all saw each other was in March (?).

Cozy Fall Essentials
Snow popped up on my weather app for Harrisonburg the other day which signifies the official arrival of Fall. Even though it's been autumn for a few weeks now, the weather has just caught up with the month. So much so that I have already worn my nano puff jacket to class a few times and I've officially swapped running shorts for leggings at the gym. With football, pumpkin patches, apple picking, spiced toddy, Halloween, and changing leaves it's almost impossible not to fall i

The Perfect Summer Dress
I love stripes, I mean LOVE. To me, stripes are such a closet staple, I this dress is no exception. This fun summer sundress is from Gap and not only has a great navy and white stripe print to it, but also has pockets! I mean, stripes and pockets, yes please!!! I love that it matches my navy and white Jack Rogers perfectly, too. For this outfit I styled my new wide brim packable sunhat from J.Crew that I love! I bought it on sale and is perfect for the beach! I linked the ent

Sunday Ruffles
Today I am collaborating with my friend Meg over at A Sunny State of Mind. We both love ruffles so we are pouring our love into our posts today! If you haven't heard of Meg or her amazing blog, here's the skinny. One, she looks like she just stepped out of a Madewell catalog. Her closet is amazing! She shares her love for healthy living on her blog too. Megs, blog has definitely taught me a lesson or two on hour to eat cleaner. After you read this post, check her out here! To

The Corner of Monument and Strawberry St.
There are a few things in Richmond that make the city so iconic. For decades these icons are what make up the heart and soul of downtown Richmond. One of these things is Monument Avenue and Strawberry Street. Monument Ave is absolutely beautiful and lined with the most gorgeous houses. Strawberry Street is home to Strawberry Street cafe, a classic to RVA. While exploring downtown RVA, something that I don't do too often, I decided to take a few outfit pictures. In this outfit

May Favorites
Well May flew by super fast. Although the past 31 days flew past, I accomplished a lot. I wrapped up my freshman year of college, I went back to work at Lilly Pulitzer, I added another job waitressing, I re-designed my blog, and had a new logo made. It's was a pretty good month overall. I've been pretty busy these past weeks but that hasn't stopped me from enjoying some new products and releases! Here is what I've been loving this past month. Lizzy Crop Top Set -- This set fr

Adopting Confidence
The other day, someone at work told me that I seem much more confident in myself than I did last summer and I completely agree. It was such a nice compliment to hear from one of my co-workers but it got me thinking about how my confidence has grown over the past year. Before going to college I was very nervous and lacked confidence as a whole. After a year alone at school, I have learned so much about myself and I think there are a few things that have mainly contributed to m
