July Haul
Goodbye July, hello August! I'm still not over the fact that it's already August. I only have 12 days of summer left until I pack up and head back to school. I'm extremely excited, I am packing a little bit each and every day until the fifteenth! The month of July was pretty low key. It was full of working, blogging, interning, saving, and beaching it up for six days right in the middle of the month. I know -- ironic to say that I spent the month saving money just to post a J

A Day at the Farmers Market
I was driving down to the road the other day, on my way to work when I drove right past the most adorable fruit and vegetable stand. I had never seen it there before and was wondering how on earth I could drive that road every single day and never notice it. The following day, I stopped by to find out it was a new addition to the area. I absolutely loved the aesthetic of the little stand and immediately knew I had to take a few photos there. Richmond is full of quirky little

Weekly Skinny: June 26th
It's been a crazy week and it's only Tuesday. Sunday was a day of running around and getting errands done and then visiting both sets of grandparents in the late afternoon and evening. I spent yesterday working, waitressing, and setting up my new technology. I added an iMac desktop computer to my Apple collection. I ended up purchasing the 1000 GB iMac yesterday morning after six weeks of saving. I'm so thrilled with my purchase! This is my very first "big girl" purchase. It

Summer So Far in Snapshots
I'm feeling refreshed and new after returning back from my 10 day long vacation in Virginia Beach. May was a whirlwind of working, blogging, brainstorming, editing, and getting back into a summer routine. Needless to say, a vacation was much needed after 50 hour weeks. With May 2018 in the books and half go June already gone, I can't believe I'm saying this, but my summer is more than a third of the way over. Here are a few things I've been loving so far this summer: Shows: U

All White Everything
With Memorial Day behind us, it's finally the appropriate time to pull out your summer whites. I somewhat stick to the white-after-Memorial-Day rule, but if Coco Chanel can pull out her whites before Memorial Day than I think it's the okay for the rest of the fashion world to do that same. This outfit is far and above my absolute favorite outfit for the summertime. Monochromatic ensembles are so chic, and white on white makes literally any person look incredible -- especially

How to Create the Perfect Instagram Stories
I'm a big fan of Instagram stories and it seems like you all like these graphics as well. I must say, all of the other bloggers around me have also stepped their game up, which inspired me to do some research on how I can create the best Instagram stories. The thing about Instagram is that they reward those who use all of their features by putting them higher up on the explore page. One of these coveted features is InstaStories and all of the bells and whistles that comes alo

What I Bought This May
I definitely went on a little spending spree this month, and now in the words of Rebecca Bloomwood from Confessions of a Shopaholic "my wallet is closed, I do not want to shop". But seriously, I can't shop anymore🙈. Everything was either on sale or employee discount though, so that counts for something, right? I knew throughout May, I would be purchasing a few essential items like a new navy dress, a pair of black shorts, and a brown wedge. I also needed a few new swimsuits.

Prepping for J.Crew National Stripes Day
It's officially spring, but I'm currently writing this blog post while a blizzard is happening outside my window. How ironic. Before this big storm took over JMU, I travelled down to Staunton, Virginia to spend a warm Sunday afternoon exploring. Virginia managed to get lucky and experience one day of warm sunshine before the snow hit. It was one of those afternoons where there wasn't a cloud in the sky, the sun was beating down and nothing felt better. The downtown area of St

March 30 Under $30
I am so enjoying Spring apparel right now, if only the weather in Virginia would catch up! It's going to snow four days out of the next ten, which is more snow than we have seen throughout all of Winter here at JMU. I'm sick of thick sweaters and layering a sweatshirt, with a vest, with a parka just to keep warm. To combat this drab weather I'm experience, I'm back again with another 30 Under $30 post. I've been working on this post all week long and am really thrilled to fin

Go-To Casual Outfit
Temperatures are rising, slowly but surely. It's nice to see less cloudy days and more sunshine as we approach Spring. I am really getting into wearing navy, denim, white, and any neutral colors that I can swap out with one another. As much as I love bright pinks, yellows, and greens, sometimes it's nice to wear a basic outfit and let the classic pieces do all the talking. Nobody said you had to dress loud to make a statement. There is something so elegant to me about a class
