Can you believed it's April?! I sure can't. It's almost unfathomable to me that Easter has come and gone and it's almost time to pack up my apartment and come home for summer. With the end of the school year nearing, I need to start making the finally changes on my seasonal wardrobe flip. If this dang snow ever leaves Harrisonburg, I can pack up my parka for good. We've seen a slow start to spring here in Virginia, so the only thing that helps satisfy my need for sundresses and bikinis is online shopping. I found a few items that simply must make their way into my closet before May arrives!
As always, most of my must haves are made up of white and navy. I love incorporating fun prints and patterns into my wardrobe during warmer months, so the seersucker wrap dress and gingham Tretorns are perfect for the upcoming seasons. I wear my glitter Old Skool Vans way more often than I thought I would, so I know I'll get great wear out of these sneakers. I can see myself packing these shoes on every single internship trip as we travel down the east coast this summer.
I've been on the hunt for a good coverage bikini top for this summer. I'm having a hard time shop for anything other than one piece suits, but this gingham one-shoulder ruffle top is calling my name. I love the French vibes the vibrant white and royal blue give off, and I love how much coverage it gives my chest. Whenever I go to the beach, I not only tan but I love swimming in the ocean. I can't wear triangle bikinis anymore due to lack of coverage, so I think this top is going to be perfect for photos, tanning, and swimming alike.
Also, can we talk about the pink paper bag shorts?! J. Crew sold these shorts last summer for $80 and they sold out so. fast. I could never get my hands on a pair, and when they finally went on sale, I was too late to snag my size. I love this bright pink, but I also appreciate the fact that they come in classic black -- I just might purchase a pair in each color. J. Crew Factory sells these shorts for 35% off what they were last year, and right now, they're just around $26. Seriously, what a deal! I can't wait to order a pair!
