Weekly Skinny: November 25th

I'm home for Thanksgiving Break! I've seen my family a handful of times this year but only visited home for one day this semester. These past four months have been so busy that weekends are just a packed as a regular Tuesday. It's nice to slow down for a few days and not worry about going to class, then work, then meetings.

My number one reason to go home is of course to see my family, now that my older sister doesn't go to JMU anymore, I feel even more distance from my parents and sisters. A constant group text is never as good as being all together. Also, my mom is a champion Christmas decorator so I'm looking forward to helping her out this week. Lastly, I can't wait to eat. I think I've had pasta more times this semester than ever before so eating legit meals will be such a luxury haha!

Mario Badescu Drying Lotion - I've had my eye on this for months now and finally bought it. My best friend raves about it so after a long October of skin struggles, I knew it was time to make a purchase. After hunting it down (finally), I can fully say I love this product. Mario Badescu has a long history of making incredible, and relatively affordable, products for

Disney+ - A total game changer. I've been anticipating Disney+ since it was announced in September and it surely didn't disappoint. I sat on the couch all day Friday and combed through throwbacks like Hannah Montana and Even Stevens and watched the Sound of Music and even High School Musical, the Musical: The Series. Let me tell you, the High School Musical show is actually so. good. It's almost like Glee and The Office had a baby and made this show. The kids are so talented and the humor is pretty good too. If you grew up watching HSM, watch this show.

My Ultimate Christmas Playlist - I'm circulating my Christmas Playlist for you because it has every song you might want this holiday season. From traditional songs, the radio classics and pop Christmas hits - you can't go wrong!

Bon Appetit Thanksgiving Finale - My sister Leslie and I are both Bon Appetit super fans. We love keeping up with what's going on in the BA Test Kitchen and I think this new video takes the cake. In this video, all of your favorites come together in one video to logically cook the perfect Thanksgiving dinner with one oven. This 42-minute long video is worth the watch and the banter between chefs satisfies any BA fan.

Kate GWilliam Ornaments - I found these Christmas ornaments when searching through my explore page on Instagram and I just love them. I'm a sucker for anything that sparkles and these sequined ornaments will shine the brightest on any tree. Each ornament is made to order and very obviously made with impeccable craftsmanship. I love the Aperol Spritz and Champagne bottle ornaments!

William Sonoma Turkey Seasoning Paste - My roommates and I hosted Friendsgiving for about 20 people last Sunday and it was such a great time. We all signed up for different sides or desserts, but our friend Lizzie took on the task of making the turkey. This turkey was beautiful, y'all - not to mention one of the best turkeys I have ever had. Her secret? William Sonoma Turkey Seasoning Paste. Lizzie raved about it and it got the thumbs up approval from the 20 of us, so I would say it's worth the purchase.

Little Women - The new Little Women movie premieres on Christmas Day starring two of my favorite actors, Timothee Chalamet and Saoirse Ronan. I just finished American Royals and needed a new book, so I picked up Little Women. Although a classic, I haven't read it before and I can't seem to put it down! I'm 100% a Meg even though I'm only about 100 pages in. I want to finish the book before watching the BBC One series or the movie in December.

Cropped Mock Neck Sweater - This sweater was a last minute addition to my SheInside shipment this month and it's quickly turned into my favorite thing in the box. I've worn it to class, on a date, to a football game and to work. Seriously, this is the sweater in my closet right now and I can't get enough of it. It comes in four colors and is perfect for literally any occasion. Also its only $24, but you can shop the item 15% off with my coupon code "4ddfprep".
