Outfits for Holiday Parties (That Aren't Dresses)

This Friday is Alpha Delta Pi's Christmas Cocktail date function. This is my absolute favorite event of the year when it comes to date functions and formals because well one, Christmas, and two it's the only time of year it's acceptable to wear as much glitter, velvet, or red and green in one outfit. Also, you can get all dressed up and have one last night of fun before finals consume our lives.

I love being a little more original with my outfit at Christmas cocktail. I love getting dressed up and putting on my favorite high heels and going out with my friends. Last year, I wore gold sequin high waisted pants with a cream velvet tank. It's definitley not something that one wears everyday but it was inexpensive and was such a memorable outfit! I ended up wearing them on Spring Break to New York City this past march with a black turtleneck and velvet heels and I got so many compliments -- definitely worth spending the money.

Everything I am sharing below is something that you can get under $50. Most of the places I shop when it comes to sorority date functions are BooHoo, Lulu's, SheInside, Forever21, and H&M. I like to stick to less expensive places and go with a pair of shoes I already have. You cannot go wrong with these black block heels from Target. They're $30 and have been my go-to lately!

PS: Most of these items below are from BooHoo, an online store with great prices! Everything is 60% off making hundreds of items under $25! Make sure to take a look! 60% ends at midnight.
