Shenandoah Lake in November
In a pinch to take photos the other day, I started researching fall trails in the Shenandoah Valley that I could quickly visit to snap a few fall photos. As I was searched I ended up finding a result for Shenandoah Lake, which actually wasn't a trail in the Shenandoah Valley. Instead, it's a 35-acre plot of state-owned land located in the middle of a neighborhood only 10 minutes from me. This beyond beautiful lake just down the street complete with canoe racks, fishing docks, a classic red barn and the most beautiful fall foliage you will ever see is just another perfect example of how God's creation is surprising, breathtaking, and perfect in every single way.
I loved taking a quick adventure to Shenandoah Lake and mark my words, I'll be back before the leaves fall off the trees for winter. To the lake, I wanted to remain cozy while still keeping an element of style in my outfit. For any great outdoorsy look, I start with a pair of jeans. I didn't want to be romping around the lake on a gloomy day in anything other than my J. Crew toothpick jeans. I've had them for probably four years now and they still look brand new. They slightly stretch but still retain their versatile wash after dozens of loads of laundry.
My top is one of my favorites for this season. I purchased it back in July of all months for my birthday. I was in J. Crew one day just browsing and this heathered grey and navy turtleneck was sitting on the sale rack tagged for two. dollars. Yep. Two bucks. Sadly, it's sold out, but I made sure to link a similar style below. For extra warmth, I threw on my J. Crew Factory Mercantile puffer vest in navy and my new, extremely warm oversized grey scarf from H&M. I have it in two colors because I wear one almost every day to class either with a sweater or sweatshirt and parka.
