Best of The Brands: April
Spring fashion is here!! When it comes to dressing for the springtime, I try to keep things on the simple side. There's no need to excessive layering when the weather is warm and the sun is out. I think you can show off you personality with a unique pair of jeans or shorts and a cute blouse or bodysuit. With a simple outfit, throw on a pair of cute sandals and some fabulous accessories and you'll have a fashionable and trendy look that was pretty effortless to create.
Right now, I am particularly in love with styling my favorite pair of high waisted jeans with a unique, yet simple top and a pair of chunky hoops and fun sneakers. The look is youthful, playful and really low-maintenance. Today, I'm sharing new arrivals from a few of my favorite stores that would be perfect this spring for low-maintenance wear but still make a big statement.
J. Crew's newest collection is a perfect combination of feminine class and 70's elevated style. Several of the colors in their newest collection remind me of the psychedelic decade but the flirty trims and silhouettes bring a girly vibe to the collection. J. Crew also intertwined this release with new elements like rick-rack trim which is extremely unique.
J. Crew Factory
J. Crew Factory is the best place to shop for spring and summer basics. They sell comfortable jeans and jean shorts, but also staple blouses and t-shirts that we all need in out wardrobe. Right now, I think Factory has an incredible assortment of elevated shorts that make a statement on their own. From the fun bows and prints on the shorts, they are perfect statement pieces to add to your spring style.
Free People, although a pricier store, sells a handful of really beautiful and unique items that I believe are worth spending a little extra money on. First, I think their bodysuits are amazing. The low back bodysuit is both tasteful and elegant, but doesn't share too much skin. It's a perfect piece to pair with your favorite pair of denim and a bootie for a night out or a sandal for a day shopping. Also, I think their sundresses are beautifully crafted and make for great concert, festival, and beach wear.
Madewell is home to the best denim around. If you're interested in investing in a great pair of jeans without spending every cent in your bank account, try Madewell denim. Not only that, but they also sell high-quality, timeless pieces that go well with their denim. If you aren't interested in the clothing Madewell sells, check out their accessories, specifically their earrings. All of my favorite hoops are from Madewell because they're lightweight and affordable. Right now Madewell is up to 30% off with the code SPEND2SAVE.
Revolve sells a plethora of items from several different brands, and although I think they sell some incredibly overpriced items, they do a great job of running the gamut of prices. All of the items shared below are under $100. What I particularly am loving from Revolve right now is their wide array of crop tops and bodysuits. Like I mentioned earlier, I think bodysuits are the easiest items to style with shorts and jeans in the springtime. However, if bodysuits aren't your cup of tea, I shared a few cute blouses too!
It's been a while since I've shared anything from Lilly Pulitzer, but I am loving several releases from their newest collection and just had to share! Lilly thrives in the spring and summertime, so it's only natural that I share a few of the beautiful releases. Lilly Pulitzer typically sticks to the same several dresses and tops and just releases them in different prints, but it's really nice to see a few new items on their homepage. For example, I love the Jacey skirt and the Patty skort. I think Lilly does a great job in the skirt department but releases very few each season -- I love seeing a few more hit the shelves this season!
H&M, like always, is absolutely killing it this season. I really loved their December collection and I didn't think they could top it, but I think their April releases might have. I love the muted pastel palette the designers worked with this spring and how they mixed them with trendy neutrals for a minimalistic, yet feminine collection. I know I have to purchase a few more items for my business casual wardrobe this summer and I know I'll be stopping by H&M first.
